    Tiny Moment Tuesday.

Of course this was actually more like “all the moments” today 🙂 Holly is the most excellent snuggle-in-the-chair companion on a wet, chilly day. Weight of Ink has also been a worthy companion. as has Jaycee. I’m nearly into the triple digits of sleeve rounds (on sleeve #1)! My Aunt Betty is flying in tomorrow morning and Sunday, her daughter Beth arrives for a quick one-nighter before she and Betty drive to Alabama for Thanksgiving. As you might imagine, we have a full calendar of events planned. I might not see y’all back here until next week. But I promise a post full of photos … and at least a few smiles! …while I…

    Tiny Moment Tuesday.

I hope you weren’t expecting to see a third – successful – attempt to start Soyokaze 🙂 I did wind that mess of yarn into a neat ball, but that’s all that’s happened with that project since yesterday. maybe tomorrow I’ll have a good (un) unraveled story to share! But for today, I have two tiny moments … that tell a different part of the story I’d like to remember about what’s happening in my life right now. I joked with Kym last week that this blog seemed to be morphing into mere-et-feets. and I wouldn’t blame y’all for rolling your eyes at one more reminder that I broke a…

    Tiny Moment Tuesday.

Thanks to my driver Deena, I was back with my Monday afternoon knitting group yesterday after a five-week absence. Karen even baked healthy brownies to celebrate (note the green-topped tupperware)! The projects have progressed a lot since then: Karen had just started the baby blanket (pink and white mosaic on the right) and now she’s on the last repeat; my Natsu (bottom center) is almost to 300 stitches (six weeks ago I was still stalking the pattern test thread on Ravelry and waiting for its release); Deena has started a new baby blanket (purple and white mosaic on the left); Kathy (out of the frame) showed off two finished shawls…

A Tiny Moment from the Weekend.

With a nod to Juliann, who introduced this Tuesday topic and often fed our blog readers with tiny moments spent with her grandson – thank you, friend! My mom and I spent a few hours with our two favorite little boys (and their parents) on Sunday afternoon. We timed the visit so the boys were just finishing their naps when we arrived. The afternoon was then full of snacks, drinks, toys, puzzles, potty breaks, trips upstairs for more toys and puzzles. and coloring. This is a 10 foot long coloring roll (maybe this one?) and the boys actually colored for about 30 minutes. (so did Katie. so did I –…

    Tiny Moment Tuesday.

The Valentine’s bouquet Marc bought last Wednesday is still beautiful. I paused this morning to take a photo … and I’m pausing again this afternoon to share it with y’all.  It’s funny. all day today I was thinking about that photo and how I wasn’t sure I’d given Marc much “good” time here on the blog. When I sat down to write this post, I searched “Marc” and this is the first post that popped up. He may not get much time here, but no doubt about it, it’s good. He says he doesn’t read my blog and honestly, given how much I talk about knitting and books, that’s probably…
