Just Life

TGIF.

Wow, y’all – thank you so much for your enthusiastic support about Sara’s upcoming move. This will be the fourth time I’ve had the privilege of helping one of my girls settle into a new home … and honestly, I’m still kind of in awe that this time I’ll get a stamp in my passport!

…and now back to the reality of a Georgia July 😉

Thinking about … skipping church on Sunday (Wimbledon spoiler alert)!

Grateful for … summer morning walks. I got the cast on my right foot a year ago this week. Last summer wasn’t a total loss by any stretch, but remembering where I was is making me appreciate all the morning walks and pilates this summer that much more.

Inspired by … the US Women’s Soccer Team’s victory parade and especially these words from Megan Rapinoe

“We have to be better. We have to love more, hate less. We’ve got to listen more and talk less. This is everybody’s responsibility, every single person here. Every single person who’s not here, every single person who doesn’t want to be here. Every single person who agrees and doesn’t agree. It’s our responsibility to make this world a better place.”

Fun … Marc and I finally are finally watching Killing Eve and it’s so good. We managed to save the last episode of Season Two for tonight (and that’s only because I fell asleep mid-way through our second episode on Wednesday) … I will say that a 2-3 episode per night habit has kind of played havoc with my sleep (and my dreams – especially now that I’m planning a trip to England!) but we just can’t stop watching.

It’s not often that I’m looking forward to a few hours of TV over the weekend … good thing I have some knitting to keep me company.

Happy Weekend!

I can’t wait to see your photographs of Great Britain. You won’t be far from Wales ……………just sayin’.

That quote from Megan Rapinoe makes me think of all the stuff going on with the fiber community and Instragram. Even when we don’t know what we’re doing we have to try and do better!

I think it is a good thing to occasionally skip out of things – and Wimbledon is an excellent excuse!

And, isn’t Megan inspiring? I have watched her in a number of interviews – she is brilliant! (and Killing Eve… omgosh… awesome!)

I’m a big fan of the idea that one’s religious practice doesn’t necessarily have to involve a house of worship (though perhaps that’s the less religious Jew in me talking — for me, religion is more about a way of life and less about going to synagogue), so I endorse your plan!

I’m inspired by the women of the U.S. soccer team and am glad that I can offer them up to my daughter as role models. It’s something to think about how much different this world might be if there were more women making decisions for our country!

Those poor daisies look spent! I have hardly watched TV at all this summer, but I think I will take a look at Killing Eve. Sandra Oh always struck me as interestingly quirky in Grey’s anatomy (or maybe they just wrote her character that way). You could consider some British shows to get ready – Endeavour, Happy Valley, Lovesick, and After Life!

that cast thing was last year? gosh almighty does time fly by!! It’s hot here so I guess it’s super hot and humid where you are. I went outside to sit and came right back inside – I’m delicate. Love that Megan Rapinoe!!

What a match! (Delay’s are big tennis folk – Doug’s dad was a chair umpire back in the McEnroe days.) And Princess Kate all weekend long too boot! 🙂 I’ve got some shows I can’t watch before bed (True Detective, Queen of the South) as they haunt my dreams. Maybe I’ll give Killing Eve a shot with Doug though I was hoping we could go to Yellowstone next!
