Just Life

Three Photo Weekending.

I have only three photos to share from this weekend. They may be few, but they are mighty 🙂

The sun was out on Saturday and it was lovely. I took a solo morning walk to the lake. Solo is key for capturing these kinds of #blueskyblooms.

Marc played golf and I indulged in some quality time with myself and a few magazines. I was reminded how much I love baths and bubbles! I think my last bath was last February, when we were in Los Cabos (the bubbles and the room were infused with the same scent and it was … wonderful).

All that alone time was wonderful preparation for yesterday’s Gifts of Women service(s) (we have two service each Sunday, one at 9:30 and one at 11:00). I only had a speaking part at the 11:00 service, but was there for both, just to be sure everything ran smoothly (and of course it did).

The pastor who led the service offered a moving sermon, titled “Crossing Boundaries”. I heard the sermon twice and was just as moved the second time. This line especially resonated with me

When God nudges us outside our comfort zones, amazing things can happen. ~ Reverend Caitlin Phillips

She opened her sermon talking about how she’s taken up a new hobby – researching personalities … Myers-Briggs and the Enneagram. It was a nice segue into my afternoon (a little more quiet time after five hours of “on” time at church!) with The Sacred Enneagram.

(as I typed this, I wondered what type Emily Dickinson was … apparently there’s an answer … and another podcast episode to add to my queue!)

A few weeks back I promised to share the bulletin insert “we” (mostly Caitlin and Katie, our very talented Communications Director) compiled. Here you go

I love that “Of course they may be right” mantra (and who knows … maybe I’ll even try it!) But mostly I love being part of a church that embraces and celebrates differences.

and taking that last bullet to heart, I hope your week is off to a “pizza start”!

Happy Monday!

I think I’m going to give that “Of course they may be right” mantra a try! What a nice church community you belong to Mary. And oh…that tub 🙂

I love those blue sky blooms! Sunny daffodil faces are my favorites!! And, they just sing SPRING!

And, you go for that marathon day at church! Wow! And, I do love the “of course they may be right” mantra. That is a tough one to swallow, much less say! Thank you for sharing xo

I don’t know if I’m brave enough to try “Of course they may be right” (and actually mean it) but that may be the very reason I should try it. How interesting!

Like Bonny, I’m not sure I would be sincere in saying “of course they may be right” – lol….especially at work! The Pizza line is a great one too!

That bubble bath looks so relaxing. I honestly don’t remember the last time I took a bath, and now I am seriously jealous!

  • Honore´

“Of course they may be right” depends on who “they” are and right about what? And not to say that I am or know all/any answers…just have a lot of questions and I am willing to listen/think, for the most part…

The daffodils are lovely, I recognize that pencil and who’da tho’t someone would ascribe the Enneagram to authors and fictional characters?
    Cheers~

wise words with of course they may be right (my inner mantra would think I’m right). Lessons to learn. I love the bubble bath shot and your confidence that you would NOT drop the phone or camera! You live on the edge 🙂
