Making Merry.
Good morning and Happy Boxing Day! How was your Christmas?
Ours got off to a dark, chilly start – the power went out at 3:15am. Thank goodness for candles and headlamps,
gas fireplaces, and gas stoves and french press coffee makers.
And gathering at Katie’s for the afternoon.
The little boys make everything more fun!
Reindeer, racecards and legos for table decor.
Socks as mittens?!
The power came back while we were gone. It was wonderful to return to a warm home and lights!
Today, Sara and I have plans to meet Katie for a late lunch and then see Mary Poppins. a practically perfect way to continue making merry 🙂

Ellis likes to wear his socks on his hands too – funny kids. I love your short hair by the way. Enjoy your day with those wonderful daughters

Whew! Good thing festivities weren’t planned to be at your house!! Those boys… adorable, as always. Have a great afternoon with your girls! Practically perfect, indeed.

Happy Boxing Day, Mary! Enjoy every moment of your time with your beautiful daughters — and those sweet little boys, too. (I spent Christmas Eve afternoon with Mary Poppins. You’ll have a great time!) And I am so glad you had your Christmas celebration at Katie’s this year! XOXO

Belated Happy Merry Christmas! What fun: no heat or lights on Christmas Day! Lucky you could find the headlamps!
The little boys look happy – love the place card and good to see Sara! Enjoy, Enjoy!
Cheers~

you sound so calm about the electricity going out, I go bonkers and freak out!

That sounds like a lovely day and having the power go out just made those lights seem brighter when you got home, I bet. I’m going to see the Mary Poppins movie tomorrow!
Kat
I hope you have a practically perfect time with Mary Poppins!! Or should I say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time! Ha!
Also… I am so glad your power is back on!!

You must have had some pretty strong storms to knock out the power. Glad you had someplace WARM (and happy) to go.
Wishing you a happy new year — which is quickly approaching. Seems like just yesterday we were ringing in 2018.

How nice the day turned out well and that you met at Katie’s instead of dealing with power issues. The boys look so happy and cute. You’ll have a wonderful time with your daughters (I guess you already have) and I look forward to your thoughts on the new Mary Poppins.

I especially love the picture of you with your daughters! It looks like you had a very merry Christmas (excluding the power outage). Hope you enjoyed Mary Poppins!

Mere et filles for the win! What a great photo. I hope the movie was great and happy that your home was back to normal after Christmas festivities!

Bummer about the power, but at least it didn’t last too long. I hear Mary Poppins was a great movie.
