A Sunday Afternoon Outing.
Sunday afternoon, I met up with Deena and Karen for some knitting (and coffee, and chitchat, of course). At the time, I had no idea that would be my last on-my-own outing for a few weeks. I’m glad it was that and not something humdrum like a trip to Costco or the post office.
I’m also glad I stopped at JoAnn’s on the way and bought fabric for two more tops and a pair of pants (yes, pants!). The gray linen is for the pants; the light fabric with the x’s is for the Willow Tank; and the dark will be another Kiomi Top. I’m planning to tweak the top this time to make the armholes a little deeper. I want it to fit perfectly before I cut into my Liberty lawn to make the Kiomi Dress. I’m also going to get a little wild and use the x’s for the bias trim.
I thought I might start on the sewing this morning, but the tennis is riveting…maybe this afternoon (we’re recording the soccer to watch this evening).
I thank you for all your good wishes and kind thoughts for my recovery. Holly might be the only one who’ll be sad when I’m back on my feet.
Happy Tuesday!
