Just Life

Joyful.

…I hadn’t planned to post today. Y’all have been amazing in your support; my family has loved and appreciated every single comment. But I thought today would be … simply too sad to share.

I’ve never been so happy to be proved wrong. The sunrise was clear and bright.

The service was standing room only, a fitting tribute to a young man who touched many lives and will be remembered for his gentle spirit and his smile… joyful.

Late this afternoon we gathered at my sister’s. PJ would’ve enjoyed the party. The food was delicious. And there was wine & beer and the company was … family.

I”m sure he would’ve had a ball entertaining his cousin Charlie.

and all of us.

I thought about your family many times yesterday. I used to think gathering afterwards was kind of awful, but as I get older I can see the benefits – you can cry with family and friends if you need to, share stories, decompress a bit, and share lots of hugs. And it never hurts to have a sweet child like Charlie around. Sending thoughts for peace and comfort in the coming days.

You have been in my thoughts and in my heart. May you continue to find peace in your family gatherings, in the beautiful of nature, and in the smile of sweet Charlie. xox

    Mary –
I am so very sorry. I hope your loving family and your happy memories of times with PJ will sustain you all through this very difficult time. Holding you all in the Light.

Mary, even though we have never met, I feel as if I know you and your family and I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm glad you are finding strength in those around you, particularly adorable Charlie. May you continue to find that strength and begin to heal.

I have been thinking of you and your family all week. Family bonds are incredibly powerful — and pull us through even the very darkest times. Sending healing wishes and much love. XO
