…oh my I am loving all the comments and encouragement from y’all. Thank You! I’m just about to the bottom of the pile. After today, I’ve got three more projects…one of which I’ve decided to set aside for now, one that’s a gift for the very special someone I hope to meet in just a few weeks (so no sharing yet), and one that I do want to keep knitting…and share! (not that I’m trying to wiggle out of eight posts in a row 🙂
And now, without further ado – Ravello. I started this project way back on June 24 and blogged about it the next day. And a few more times over the next two weeks as I worked through the jogless stripes on the yoke (which – due to several stupid mistakes on my part – required several attempts to perfect) and then…nothing.
I made it to the the first sleeve before I left for Madison in July, when I decided little stripes and sleeves (and a sweater’s worth of yarn) was too much for that trip. I set it aside…and promptly got distracted by a new pair of socks, a shawl, three projects inspired by the shop (and who knows what else).
Happy to report that I had an easy time this morning figuring out where I was and made quick progress on that first sleeve. I’ve got just a few more inches to finish it and then one more sleeve, a few ends to weave in…and done. I’m still really happy with the project – and it fits my dress form beautifully, doesn’t it?
(I smiled when I read that June 25 blog post and remembered the reason I started this was because I wanted to knit a different striped cardigan – Babycocktails’ Shaken or Stirred. Two months later my queue has changed. Surprise!?! I’ll definitely be sharing more about what’s coming next…soon!)
Stay tuned for WIP #6 – and again, thank you for all the positive feedback!
