Just Life

Looking Back | June.

…a quick look back at the month of June through the lens of my daily photos (again with fatmumslim’s daily prompts).

::I think I got all the colors of the rainbow this month! it’s easy when the sky is blue, the flowers are blooming…and I’m knitting colors.
::mixed reviews on getting out and about – six of the photos are from Madison (or en route), but with the exception of the Starbucks cup (near the shop) and the Sara family celebration (two weeks ago Saturday), every other photo was taken at home or in my neighborhood. Thank goodness for walking Holly or I probably wouldn’t even be out “in my neighborhood”.
::finally, people, even me!

Taking a closer look:
::Knitting (8 photos!) – the Through the Loops Mystery Shawl and Ravello clearly dominated (and will likely continue this month since both are still in progress) and one FO, my Traveling Scarf.
::From Where I Stand (1 photo) – and a special one since those are Sara’s feet along with mine, out for an evening walk with Holly.
::Other Selfies (2 photos) – but giving myself extra credit anyway since one is a full-length mirror shot and the other shows my head. Note that I’m not counting the bit of feet and fingers that show up behind books and knitting.
::Holly (2 photos) – wow. only two.
::Food & Drink (4 photos) – thank goodness one of them’s a salad!
::Sky (5 photos) – clouds, sunrises and sunsets. I’m not sure if this is a new thing or if the prompts made it more likely. July will tell!

And notable for their absence:
::Porch Views – too hot!
::One Little Word and Project Life – I’m finding that taking more time here, and really getting back into my daily journaling routine has left little time for those projects. I am still on board with my word, but Project Life not so much. (more on that to come, I guess!)

I’m interested to see what July will bring. I’ve got another week in Madison, plenty of knitting and reading (maybe even more?) and full-on summer. I hope the photos tell a great story!

    A great montage – and I didn't know about your daily journalling routine. I'm just developing one myself – all hints and tips appreciated!

    So nice that you share a glimpse of your world with us; love all the photos and especially those of Holly. Looking fwd to July and congrats on the "improvement" category.

    June was the first month where I didn't miss a day. So much fun to look back over what "caught your eye". While I'm keeping things organized for Project Life, I'm wayyyyy behind in the assembling. Thank goodness for folders on the desk top! Happy Monday.
